1. During the valve opening and closing process, there is no contact between the valve body sealing surface and the sliding vane sealing surface. Therefore, there is no friction or wear on the sealing surface, the valve has a long service life, and the opening and closing torque is small; 2. When the valve is repaired, it is not necessary to remove the valve from the pipeline. You only need to remove the valve bottom cover and replace a pair of sliding vanes, which is very convenient for maintenance; 3. The valve body and the plug are full-bore, and the medium has no flow resistance when passing through the valve, and the pipeline can be cleaned, which overcomes the shortcomings of the reduced-diameter valve; 4. The inner cavity of the valve body is plated with hard chrome, and the sealing area is hard and smooth; 5. The elastic seal on the sliding vane is made of fluororubber and is molded in the groove on the surface of the sliding vane. The metal-to-metal seal with fireproof function serves as the backing of the elastic seal; 6. The valve has an automatic relief device (optional) to prevent abnormal pressure rise in the valve cavity and test the effect of the valve after the valve is fully closed; 7. XDV Pneumatic valves play an important role in a pneumatic system. They determine how much air passes through and in which direction. This means that they can be used as control valves, but also as safety valves that shut off the air supply in dangerous situations or that depressurise the system. Every valve basically consists of three elements: Typically 2, 3 or 5 connections which are also called ports. The minimum of two ports provides power to the valve and work. A third port is used for exhausting the valve or actuator if necessary. If five ports are available, this is usually to control a double-acting cylinder. One port remains available for supply, two ports are used for working and two for exhausting. A port is nothing more than an opening with a thread into which a coupling can be inserted. Often a push-in coupling with which a direct hose connection can be made.

XDV Electro-hydraulic actuators are devices that operate a valve through pressurized hydraulic fluid, however, their main source of energy is solely electrical. The electrical power supplied is used to energise a motor that runs a hydraulic pump which then supplies the pressurized fluid to operate a hydraulic actuator which controls the valve. The complete system is self-contained, eliminating the need for a separate hydraulic power unit, simplifying system construction and improving safety and reliability. A self-contained electrohydraulic actuator can be used with linear or rotary valves, the need for its use will depend on the requirements of the application. These devices are ideal for operating valves that need large torques or thrusts, or where fail-safe systems or high operating speeds are required.

This pressurised hydraulic oil is used to drive our industry recognised and proven scotch yoke quarter-turn or linear actuators. Using pressurised oil as the driving fluid provides powerful and smooth actuator control and isolates the cylinder from pipeline gas. This prevents contaminants from entering the hydraulic cylinder, eliminating corrosion and seal deterioration, and extending actuator life.
