Y-Strainer
The XDV Y Type Strainers are constructed from rugged castings that are machined to exacting specifications. These bodies have drilled flanges that are in accordance with ASME B16.1. Alternatively to EN, DIN, BS or JIS Standards.
The XDV Y strainer features a machined groove in both the body and cover for proper screen alignment and to ensure accurate reseating when servicing is required. The gasket is a synthetic fiber that is compressed between the body and cover for maximum strength and durability. Upon request, The XDV Y Type strainers can be furnished with a blow-ff plug. Standard perforated 304stainless steel screens are furnished for a maximum strength. Different size perforations and meshes are available in stainless steel Monel, and brass to meet specific media requirements. f the media is not indicated, screens for water will be supplied. Self cleaning is accomplished by opening the valve or drain plug connected to the blow-off port.
Y Strainer take their name from their configuration. They are most commonly used in pressurized lines, gas or liquid, but can also be used in suction or vacauum conditions . They are intended for application where small amounts of solid particulate are expected and where clean-out will be infrequent. If solids will flush easily from the screen, and fluid can be exhausted to atmosphere, a blow-down valve on the drain port will allow clean-out without removal of screen, and without interrupting the process flow.

T-Strainer
XDV T Strainer is installed into a pipeline system to remove unwanted debris from the pipeline flow. ln comparison to Y Strainers, T Strainers are commonly used in pipelines where debris loading is high and the collection of solids is required. T strainers can be installed in a series to provide more effective filtration of unwanted debris. Straining of the pipeline flow is accomplished via a perforated or mesh lined screen, internal to the strainer. In general, the size of the screen perforation should be slightly smaller than the smallest debris particle to be removed. If the basket perforation is undersized, the basket may require excessive cleaning. Consequently if the screen perforation is oversized, unwanted debris may be permitted to flow through the pipeline, possibly damaging downstream equipment. The correct size of T Strainer is determined by its job function, not by the size of the pipeline.

Control Valve
XDV Control Valves covering pressure control and flow control valves, and are designed and manufactured to ensure leakage of less than 100 ppm (parts per million) of volatile organic compounds. Extensive base line laboratory testing (static and cycle testing) has been performed establishing critical design parameters necessary to achieve low emission sealing in the XDV stem packing seal area and in the bonnet gasket sealing area, ln-house testing procedure has been developed and is periodically performed to ensure that standard product design and manufacturing criteria consistently result in the XDV Control Valves meeting a maximum of 100 ppm voc leakage prior to shipment.
